Soccer Double Header with Coastal Credit Union
My daughter and I were guests of Coastal Credit Union for the NC Courage game.
This past weekend, my family and I attended a soccer game. I know what you are thinking why this soccer game is any different from the million (well maybe not million others) games we have been to before. First, it was because it was a doubleheader, meaning that there were two games playing back to back. The first game was my beloved NCFC team with my favorite player Austin da Luz. The second game was the NC Courage playing the Houston Dash. Not familiar with the Courage, they are the women’s soccer based in North Carolina.
Being season ticket holders, we had tickets to both games. Our original plan was to go see all the men’s game and leave halfway through the women’s. The first game started at 5 and the second started at 7:30 and add in an hour commute to and from the stadium – I knew that it would be long of a day for all of us. But that all changed when I contacted by Coastal Credit Union to be an on the field guest during the women’s game. I mean how could I say now to field side seats. Plus, we love Coastal as we have Cady, our Acadia financed through them.
So, we decided that we would only go to a part of the men’s game and sit in our regular seats and then Mikaela and I would sit on the field for the women’s game. I was a little disappointed with the outcome of the men’s game as they gave away to penalties in the box to allow the other team to tie the score.
But the NC Courage game was amazing. To see some of the players who play for the US Women’s Team play in person was such an awesome experience. They ended up winning the game 5-0.
Sitting on the sidelines where the action was going on was a great experience for us and I loved spending a little time with one of my big girls, Mikaela before she went back to college.
I miss her so much when she doesn’t get to come home a lot and I am so glad that I had this chance to sit with her and spend some time with her. This momma’s heart loved it so much.
