Meet melissa
Melissa is a mom who is entering the next chapter of her life, “Empty Nesting”. She has three beautiful daughters ranging from 27-20, and a mom-in-law to one amazing son. She is also “Madre” to an “adopted” son and his beautiful wife. She is married to the love of her life, Raul, a native of Mexico. They are celebrating their 29th anniversary this year. She is also mom to 6 furbabies (1 spoiled Shih Tzu and a pit bull mix and 4 cats) and a grand ”fur” mom to 2 cats. And Grandmomma to 4 sweet baby boy kitties. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crafting, and encouraging others to be their best.
She has just recently overcome anxiety from being in way too many car accidents. (their fault, not hers) and now she is burning up the roads exploring her beloved state of North Carolina. Adventures of Frugal Mom was started. She was working part-time on the blog while working full-time as an elementary school teacher.

After years of dreaming of having an office outside of the home, ya girl took the leap and bought a storage shed which has become the “Blog Cabin.” An office 50 yards from her back door.

The bottom fell out of “Frugal Mom’s” world. A series of events cumulating with the death of her hero, dad, it was full steam ahead and working full-time for herself.

Covid hit, and with that, so did a new venture. Melissa started hosting a podcast from the Blog Cabin called Chats from the Blog Cabin.
