Sopes de Carne Asada and Wine = A Good Time

One of my favorite meals that my husband makes is Sopes. It is hard to describe Sopes. I mean how you can you describe a bowl of total yumminess. And the fact that you can eat it with your hands is a huge plus.
My husband, Raul, is a native of Mexico and he knows how to cook most of the traditional Mexican dishes. But Sopes de Carne Asada are by far our favorite meal. He normally only makes these for special occasions like when Maddie, our oldest is home from college. It was in fact, one of my dad’s favorite meals at our house. But this past Saturday, I asked him to make some Sopes for us and he did.
Goes Great with Sutter Home Family of Wines
This time, I took notes about how to make them. Although they do take a lot of time to make the Sopes, they are so worth it. I also love that they can go with any of the Sutter Home Family of wines. For this particular night, I decided to pick up their Moscato. I loved their pink Moscato, I had at my girls night a few weeks ago. And when I was trying to decide which wine to go with this dish, I knew Sutter Home would be perfect for it. First, because it is a great value and has an amazing taste. Second because I love that it is a wine that is family owned. Family is everything to them. And I also love that these wines have been around for over 65 years. And with a reputation like this, they will continue to be my go-to wine for get togethers that we have planned for the future.
