Talking About My Wedding Day
Here is something that you might not know about me. My husband and I eloped. We decided that we did not want a big family wedding because most of his family would not be able to attend because they live in Mexico.
We jumped in the car one weekend and drove to South of the Border located in Dillon, South Carolina. You might remember we travelled there this summer. And with a dress that I brought off the rack at Wal-Mart my husband and I pledged our lives to each other . The day our lives changed and we looked toward the future.
But looking back now having a family wedding is something I regret. I regret it because I will not have pictures of my dad with me on my wedding day. But I have often wondered what my wedding day would have been like if I had decided on the family wedding. Would it be full of stress and strife or would it be serene and peaceful? I often imagine what kind of dress I would have worn.
Would it be one of those a-line wedding dresses or would it have been one of those fishtail wedding dresses that are so popular right not? Or would I go with a totally different wedding dress like this one?
I can only imagine what the dress would have been like. So tell me what kind of wedding did you have? Was it a family one, an intimate one or did you throw caution to the wind and elope like I did?
