Kendra Scott Jewelry Supporting a Great Cause

Wow it just seems like yesterday I was posting about a meetup at Seasons 52 Grill, that was a fun event but I will have to say that in the past few weeks I have attended or will attend some more events as well. This week I am bringing you into the world of Kendra Scott Jewelry. It was filled with jewelry, glamour, makeovers, headshots and most importantly spending time with friends.

As you may remember, I am a member of Trifabb, an amazing organization that  Molly of Still Being Molly founded. It is an organization that supports bloggers as well as other nonprofit agencies in the community. This time the meetup took place at Kendra Scott in Raleigh at the North Hills shopping center.  And I was with my partner in crime Kathi from Miss Everchanging.

I love Kendra Scott jewelry, but sometimes it can be out of my price range. I always shop the sale section, and I end up with a fantastic piece of Kendra Scott jewelry that I love and end up wearing time and time again. I also felt better knowing that 20% of the proceeds that night went to Transforming Hope Ministries.  The last time I attended a meetup at Kendra Scott, I was able to purchase this amazing piece, which I happened to wear to this event.

This night was no different as I ended up with another Kendra Scott Jewelry statement piece that I know I will wear a lot in the future. In fact, I wore it to an NCFC game the same week I got it.

Molly always plans fun things for us to do and that night was no exception. On hand were some yummy desserts from Seasons 52 as well as Dior Makeup artists doing free makeovers. Of course, I jumped at that because hello how many times are you offered a free makeover. I loved getting my makeup done.

Courtney did a fantastic job. She kept asking me questions and patiently answered all of mine and boy did I have a ton. She even complimented me on my eyelashes. (Nobody has ever done that before.) But the one thing that she did was make my eyes pop. I remember listening to her as she asked another consultant about what lip color to use on me and the other expert said look at her beautiful blue eyes. (Side note: I think they are my best feature, but the glasses that I wear daily hide them, so that is why when I take professional headshots I take them off. You will see what I mean in a little bit. And I know you are probably thinking what about contacts; sadly I can’t wear them as they slide right out of my eyes.)

So, after seeing my makeup, Kathi decided she wanted a little touchup, and both of us decided to take Molly up on her offer for free headshots. I will admit that I am just starting to get comfortable in front of the camera and that has been something that I have been working on for myself. So far, I have found only one photographer that is Shelly from Once Upon a Dream she took the sunflowers pictures, but now I can say I have found two because Molly made me feel right at home and encouraged me to get out of my shell.

I think it is important as bloggers and more importantly people to find ways to contact with others and share in their triumphs and defeats and to encourage one another. And Molly being the leader of Trifabb sets that example for others to follow. I can’t wait until our next meetup.

What about you? Do you own some Kendra Scott Jewelry? What is your favorite piece? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I love the jewelry you picked out and that event was so much fun! There really are a great group of bloggers in the Triangle area and so glad Molly created TriFABB. I’m not big on jewelry other than my wedding ring. I still love to wear it, it’s just most of the time I don’t really think about it except for weddings I guess.

  2. Your headshots look wonderful! I’ve never been to Kendra Scott but I see their jewelry mentioned on so many other bloggers’ sites that I’ll have to stop in next time I’m in the North Hills area.

  3. What a fun event! I have a few pairs of earrings and necklaces from KS and I love them all! Jess at Just Jess

  4. It was a totally fun event. I mean how many times do you get to have a makeover and headshots.
