“I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Influence-Central  for #AveenoEczemaTherapy. I received a sample to facilitate my review and a thank you item for participating.”

National Eczema awareness month

My oldest daughter has been blessed with terrible skin. Not only is she prone to breakouts she also suffers from Eczema. Every time there is a change in the weather she gets a flare up. Stress can also cause flares. And being in college dealing with papers, deadlines, midterms and finals you can imagine how stressful that can be. Maddie’s flare ups are not in a very comfortable place and that is on the top and bottom of her feet and in between her toes. Wearing her shoes are a big problem for her, as you can imagine. We have tried everything and always found that most products for Eczema treatments were a temporary solution to a very aggressive and embarrassing problem.

Did you know that Maddie is not alone in her suffering approximately 35 million infants, children and adults suffer from this embarrassing and uncomfortable skin condition? And also that October is Eczema Awareness month.  Like I said before we have tried everything to ease those flares. One of the few things that we have found that provides a lot of comfort is Aveeno Eczema Therapy. I love how this therapy is gentle enough for both babies and adults. If you are one to take long luxurious baths than the bath treatment is just what the doctor ordered. Maddie actually using the little packets to soak her feet before she gives herself a pedicure. She loves how her feet feel after soaking. She doesn’t get to do this very often as she is away at school but when she comes home from break she does this at least once if not more.

For daily use, she uses the lotion to help with those day to day flare ups. She applies the lotion before putting her shoes and/or socks on and she goes about her day. Depending on how bad her Eczema flare up is that day, she may need to reapply during the day especially if her feet sweats a lot. And now that the weather is getting colder- her feet will sweat more because she practically lives in her boots during the winter months.

Here are some more awesome things about Aveeno Eczema Therapy. It is easy to apply and does not leave a greasy film on the skin. It is low on scent, so those that are very sensitive to smells will be able to use it. Not only is it good for treating Eczema, but it is also good for relieving dry, itchy , irritated skin due to rashes , poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, and insect bites. So this product would be a great addition to your medicine cabinet. Want to find out more uses for this amazing product check out their Facebook page.

  1. We’ve found the Aveeno product line to be the best for our skin. No one here suffers from Exczema, but we’ve still bought it to sooth rashes, etc.

  2. I’ve never had a problem with eczema but I have a friend who has a terrible time with it. She has it all over her arms and it can get ugly real fast. She has tried everything but I’ll tell her about this just in case she hasn’t tried this yet.
