Even though my girls are almost grown ( One in Grad school, the other a junior in college and the baby in her last year of high school), I can’t help worrying about them. I am a mom and a worrier. That’s just what I do. The biggest thing I worry about is whether or not they are making the right choices in life. Most of the time, the two older girls are working late into the night doing homework for their respective degrees. ( Environmental Toxicology and Interior Architecture) That they barely have time to eat much less a balanced meal. That is why most of the time, when they were both going to the same college, their dad and I would make sure to take them out to eat and stock them up on groceries. Fast forward to May 2018 when Maddie and her then-fiancé now her husband, packed up everything they owned and moved to pursue their Ph.D.’s. Being that far away, I worry about them a lot. I know that they are grown and they are fine. But still, I worry. Are they safe, are they getting enough sleep, are they taking time out from their studies to just hang and most importantly are they eating well? No matter how old our children get, moms of the world still worry about these things. But, knowing that there is a restaurant like Boston Market located there. A restaurant where my older kids can get a well-balanced meal that is not only good for them but also tastes delicious, I couldn’t be happier.

Most days Maddie and Lex are going in two different directions, literally and figuratively. Most days, they leave early in the morning, and often times don’t get back into late in the afternoon/ early evening. When they both get home, they are often too tired to cook, so they either grab dinner while they are out or it is Ramen to the rescue. (Seriously, I think for all three of my girls for Christmas- I am going to buy them a case of Ramen a piece. They live on that stuff.)

Quick and Easy dinners are what they need. So when I sent them a gift card to Boston Market, they were super excited because not only did they not have to cook dinner, they didn’t have to pay for dinner. More importantly, it was a dinner that they could pick up on their way home from work and school.

Did you know that Boston Market to welcome fall has come out with some new flavors? They looked to the east for the flavor inspiration. They now have a Sesame Style Rotisserie Chicken that is topped a savory sesame glaze. They have also started offering Rotisserie Prime Rib, as well. How cool is that?

In addition to the central part of the meal, they have added a new side item, Loaded Roasted Potatoes. Think of it not as ordinary potato, but more as a super potato. These red roasted potatoes are topped with melted cheddar cheese, crisp bacon pieces, and fresh sliced green onions. ( They had me at cheese!!)

They have also added a warm apple cobbler to their menu, as well. Who doesn’t like cobbler, primarily if you are raised in the south?

Maddie and Lex grabbed this meal to go and ate it in the comfort of their own home, with both their cats, My and He, begging for pieces of chicken. I am pretty sure. My tried to swipe some when he thought nobody was looking.

Maddie sent me a text message and told me how yummy it was with the pictures you see in this post. She thanked me for not having to cook a well-balanced meal.

Side note: In her wedding vows to Lex, she promised him that he won’t always have a cooked meal because she doesn’t like to cook. ( 😉 )

Knowing that Boston Market offers this type of a well-balanced meal makes this mom’s heart happy. It makes me worry a little less about some things. Even though Maddie and Lex live over 2000 miles away, I know for certain that I will be sending them gift cards to Boston Market soon.
