7 Things That Make Me Smile

I have spent a lot of time lately reflecting on life. It seems I have more time on my hands than I know what to do with it. Sometimes, we get so bogged down in everyday life that we forget to stop and appreciate the little things and just smile. So here are seven things that make me smile these days.

 1. Saturday nights with my youngest

Now that Gracie is the only one at home, we are spending a lot of time together. We go out to eat on Thursday nights after I pick her up from school. But Saturday nights are our movie and spa nights. Gracie is a big skin care nut so doing something with her that she enjoys makes me feel good as a mom. But I will admit that when I first put on a mask, I wasn’t so sure.

Just check out our fun last Saturday night.  I am just glad that we have these 7th Heaven masks on hand for our spa days.

2. Wahlbergers

Wahlbergers is back on A&E. I mean if you can’t watch this show and not smile once then there is something wrong with you. I love their mom, Alma. But of course, you know how much I love those Wahlberg boys, which brings me to the third thing.

3. Concerts

Finally, after all these years, I got to see New Kids on the Block in concert. Sure we had total nosebleed seats, but it was so worth it to finally see them in concert. And the fact that it was the week before my birthday and a present from one of best friends, Courtney, was just the icing on the cake.

4. Seeing a solar eclipse.

Even though we only had a partial one, it was so worth it to see it. My husband took a half of day off from work to experience this once in a lifetime sight with Gracie and I. Gracie was home from school because she woke up vomiting that morning. And our MIU Blankets came in handy to lay on to look up at the sky.

And I got to spend some time with both of these cuties because Tutu got to come in the house while the eclipse was going on.

5. Home Coming

My middle daughter will be coming home from college today. This will be the first time she will be home since she left for college.

6. Going Viral

Having a blog post that has gone viral. I never thought when I wrote the post about the chair that some many people would respond on here and Facebook,

7. Sunflowers and the Farm

As I wrote in the post about the chair, the farm has become a place of happiness for me and being able to have a photo shoot there was just amazing.

I know if you are a long time follower here, you will notice that I haven’t mentioned soccer. Well, that is because life is so busy that we haven’t had a chance to get back to see a game. But hopefully, that will change this Saturday, So tell what is making you smile these days?
