5 Things I am Loving in November
I know you are probably reading that title and thinking, November isn’t over yet. And you are totally right but since the end of the month gets really busy with Thanksgiving and Raul’s birthday I thought I would take this time to tell you some of the things I love about November. So here they are the 5 things I am loving.
1. Cooler weather which normally means curling up with a good book. In my case, it is an awesome book. Remember how I vowed to read 5 books a month, what you don’t well, in all honesty, I don’t remember to do that either. ( add a link to books read post.) There are some months I am lucky to read even one. But when I found out that one of Gracie’s teachers of all time. Mind you the teacher that Gracie was in her class when she had her first seizure. She just recently published her first book, Becoming Invisible. It is a truly heartwarming story that shares the relationship between a mother and her daughter. And how oftentimes, parents do outlive their children. It is a great read for almost any time of year. And right now, it is free on Kindle Unlimited.
2. Supporting Friends- My amazing friend Hannah stepped out of her comfort zone to teach a workshop on hand lettering. If you are not familiar with it, it is the fancy lettering you see on most of the signs at any craft store. If you want an example you can find one here. I was so proud to be in her very first class. It was a fun night and I came home with a new appreciation for how much time and practice it takes to get the letters just right. We focused on lower case letters and hopefully, she will scheduler her capital letter one soon.
3. Spending time with Emily- I know we spend almost the whole month of October together, but it is different capacity. She is not only one of my best friends but she is also my boss. So it is good to spend time catching up with her outside of work.
4. Actually cooking a few home-cooked meals. I know crazy right, with the working at the farm almost every day in October and then coming home and working on the blog, it was so much easier to order take out. I have rediscovered some local restaurants that are just amazing. But home-cooked meals are better for me and definitely better for the wallet.
5. Buying NC Beef- I have been following Bravo Steaks for a while on Instagram and the other day Emily ( yep another Emily to add to my life) posted that she was making holy mole chili and I was like yum. She was so kind as to share the recipe with me, and I decided that I would order their chili box to make the recipe. I also ordered a roast as well because a roast is a quick meal to throw into the Instant Pot. I was impressed with how quick they shipped and the packaging as well. In my order besides the roast, I received 3 packages of ground beef and 2 of stew beef. I made the Holy Mole Chili with their ground beef and it was just what the doctor ordered on a cold day.
So these are the 5 things I am loving in November. Leave me a comment about what you are loving about November so far.
