5 Things I am Looking Forward To

You know sometimes you have to look at your past to see how far you have come. But isn’t it good to be stuck there, that is why I thought I would post 5 things I am looking forward to in the upcoming months. So here it goes. I have to add a side note to this post, I actually wrote this post and scheduled it to go live after the women in business series ended. I was going to scrap it but then I thought now just revise. The revisions are in parentheses.

The Month of May ( Or I was)

I am looking forward to this month for so many reasons.

Gracie’s Graduation – as of now is scheduled for May 20

Although this is a bittersweet moment having my youngest graduate high school, it comes with a lot of pride. Gracie used to hate school and sometimes it was a struggle to get her to go. But not anymore, she is loving her one class at school and her online classes.

Maddie & Lex – (Not Sure if they will be back- but still hoping)

Maddie and Lex will be flying in for Gracie’s graduation, This will be the first time we have seen them since they tied the knot. It will be a whirlwind trip for sure. They fly in on Tuesday and fly out the following Sunday. So it is a quick trip in and out. It is also bittersweet because Mikaela will be flying back with them to start her internship with a design firm in California ( not sure if she will be flying back).

Jenna Bush Hager

She is coming to Raleigh to sign copies of her book Everything Beautiful in Its Time at Quail Ridge Books. Tickets to this are sold out but I have an amazing husband who bought a ticket for me for Valentine’s Day present. Plus I will be going with my good friend Hannah and her mom. (This has been postponed until September so I am still looking forward to this.)

Gracie Again and Allie Too

My Baby girl is turning 18 at the beginning of the month. I look at her and wonder where my almost 10-pound baby went. Also, Allie is turning 9. I am not really looking forward to this as I know our years with her are numbered.

Time with Friends

I have quite a few meetups scheduled on my calendar to see friends. As I mentioned above, my friend Hannah and her mom will be going to see Jenna Hager as well so we decided to ride together and make a day of it. Also, I can’t forget Monday Motivation meetups in Fayetteville. And I will still look forward to actually spending time with them once #Socialdistancing is over.

25 Years

On April 8, Raul and I will be celebrating 25 years of married life. Looking back, I will admit that there were times I wondered if we were going to make it. Those were tough times, but I honestly think every marriage goes through this at some point. I wanted to do a party but there isn’t time when Maddie and Lex are here to do one.

Trips and the Possibility of More Trips

I have a few local trips on my books right now. And by local, I mean in-state trips. But there is a possibility of a few out of state trips. One or two to South Carolina to see friends and I would actually like to make it Georgia to see my dear friend Beth this year.

Warmer Weather

As I am writing this I am sitting in my Blog Cabin with the door open with a slight breeze making its way inside. I love being able to open the window and doors of my little slice of Heaven and work. Not only does it air it out but I feel more connected to my writing when this happens.

So these are just 5 things that I am looking forward to. Do you have something you are looking forward to this year if so drop a comment and let me know? I want to celebrate with you.
