Coins That Show Love

SHMILY!!!!! What you don’t know what that means? Well here it goes See How Much I Love You!!! SHMILY!! In an unique way, you can show your family how much you love them. SHMILY Coins are a fun and creative way to say I love you. Many times we often forget to tell the ones we love, just how much we love them and sometimes sadly those moments can be lost. But with these coins, your loved ones will know how much you love them.

Since there are five in my family, we each got a coin to share. When I first received the envelope with the coins inside, I admit I was a little skeptical about it. How can something so simple like a wooden coin make a big impact in our lives?? Well guess what it did? Like I said we were sent five coins so we each got one to share with another person in our family. The rules we made up were simple and it became a game to see who would find their coins first and who had the most unique hiding place.

One of the rules  was that once we found our coin that we had to re share with someone else passing the love along. I have to admit that we had fun finding unique places to hid the coins and watch with anticipation when one of our loved ones found them. Gracie was the first to hid her coin and she decided to give hers to Allie, our Shih Tzu. Yep even the dog got in on the love. She hid Allie’s in her food bowl. We were just lucky that we found it before Allie or Allie would have tried to eat it. Other hiding places were the freezer, lunchboxes, taped to the steering wheels, taped to gas caps and etc.

The funniest part of sharing besides trying to find the best place to hide these was the look of my family’s faces when they found one of them. Sometimes we were around the person when they found  their coin but sometimes not. But the person finding the coin would always come back and share how they felt and try to guess who left the coin for them. At one point we decided that if someone found a coin it was from all of us to remind each other how much we love each other. And being the mom of two teenagers and a preteen sometimes life can get a little rough (if you have teenagers you know what I am talking about) so this helped bring the family back into a calming mode.

This was such a fun way to show each other how much we really cared for each other. So if you are looking for a fun way to show your love, these coins are awesome.
