Wordless Wednesday Let It Snow
Yesterday was the first official snowfall in our town. Last week we were hit with a winter storm that was treacherously ice is awful but this week was the first official snowfall. It is so beautiful to watch the snow coming down. So I grabbed my camera and snapped a few shots that I thought I would share with you today. My favorite tree is pictured here.
Here is the beginning of the storm.
Here is the middle of the storm. Notice how all the branches on my Magnolia tree is covered with snow.
Another tree in our backyard. Snow makes everything so peaceful and beautiful. We got about 3 inches of snow yesterday and they are expecting more tomorrow. So tell me what is the weather like where you are at?

We had a lot over the weekend as well and while I like it when it’s just fallen I hate it after it turns to slush. Love the look of the backyard though.
We recently got out first snow/sleet/ice of the whole season. It is definitely beautiful, but makes for dangerous driving around here.
Here in Boston, 3″ is literally nothing, so I laughed when you called it a storm. We have 4 feet on the ground at the moment.
We got a foot of snow about three weeks ago. We had four inches or so left from that and woke up to about 4 fresh inches! I am ready for spring.
I am so sick of snow. I am ready for Spring! Bring it on!
We got about 7 inches of snow overnight. It’s been warmer today (in the high 30s) so a lot of the snow is melting. I’m ok with that. We played this morning. I can get back to work tomorrow!
Beautiful snow pictures. We had a snow storm too and did not get the chance to take shots
We had snow all this week. It’s all melting and slushy now. I love the pictures!
So pretty. I love the snow, but there just comes a point where I get so tired of looking at it. I dont know why I moved to a place with 4-6 months of winter.
We got a lot of snow too! I love the second picture especially.
I hope you have been enjoying the snow! Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures!
Looks so pretty but I’ve had enough! Our pipes have frozen on city property under the ground and we’ve been without water for 3 days now and won’t have it back until love point Saturday. I’m ready for it to warm up and things to thaw!
I wept a little at “first snowfall.” We got our umpteenth yesterday, and I am OVER the SNOW. Yours looks pretty, but I’d rather it didn’t look that way in my yard anymore, lol.
We have about 5 feet of snow on the ground and it’s been -30 with wind chill for the past couple of weeks.
I, for one, am sick of the snow. It’s been a rough winter here in Indiana. I am glad you are enjoying what you’ve gotten though!
Beautiful pictures but I’m sick of snow and can’t wait for spring to finally arrive.
Ah you have a Magnolia. Those are the prettiest trees ever when they’re in full bloom.
Beautiful pictures. I really wish I was somewhere near snowfall. The nearest snow is about 6 hours away by car.
I miss living up North and all of the snow that comes with it. I’m so tired of Florida lol
I’m not going to say I’m sick of the snow because I just found all of the gloves. Ha! But I would like more than an inch or two.
Beautiful – and yes snow does make it quiet and peaceful – as long as I am really warm – we had about 6 inches last week and suppose to have between 6 to 18 inches tomorrow – I’ve been posting from my office window onto FB –
I like when it snows but don’t like dealing with the after effects. Those pictures look heavenly.
Those are really pretty. I love to see them in person – like they are truly wonderful to look at 🙂
