There are times of the year when certain items are less expensive. Shop off season, and save yourself a bundle. Here is a list of savings by month for you.

  • In January, shop for Christmas Decorations, cards, and wrapping, winter clothing, workout and sports gear, televisions, bedding, and computers. Most stores are trying to get rid of the stock that did not sell at Christmas.
  • In February, save on housewares and small appliances, furniture, jewelry, and chocolates.
  • March is the month to shop for outwear, gardening supplies, and luggage.
  • Home improvement materials are great to shop for in April. Save on wallpaper and paint, china, and men’s and boys’ suits.
  • Looking to replace a major appliance than May is the month to save on these. Also check the preseason sales on swimsuits and sandals.
  • In June, save on home furnishings, automobile tires, home-improvement tools and materials.
  • July is the outdoor saving month. Save on air conditioners, summer clothing, barbecue grills and supplies, radios and stereo equipment.
  • August is back to school month. Shop those sales to save on bedding, outdoor furniture, school supplies, winter coats, and back-to-school clothes.
  • In September you can save on bicycles and gardening supplies.
  • October is all about the outdoor sports equipment and men’s and boys’ clothes.
