Saturday Crafting at AC Moore

Saturday Crafting at AC Moore

I am always looking for activities to do with my girls. This past Saturday we decided to head to our local AC Moore for the last Kids 2nd Saturday before Summer starts. We arrived a little early so we looked around the store before we headed back to the craft classroom. I will have to say just looking around the store provided a lot of entertainment for us. Just look at how silly they are.

Finally, the time came to go to the craft classroom. There we were greeted by Megan who told the girls they would be making a door hanger using glitter glue, glue, a foam door hanger, sequins, and a squished cupcake wrapper. I mean how cool is that? Just look at the example that was made for the kids.

Isn’t that just cute? Mikaela and Gracie decided that they wanted to make one together. I was immediately amazed about how they choose to make their door hanger unique. Instead of using the wrapper with the color on the outside they chose to flip it over and add their own touches to it.

They really got into making their hanger. I was impressed with how focused they were making sure that each detail was perfect. They would often sit for a moment to think about what they wanted to do next to it.

Here they are with their finished project.

Kids 2nd Saturday is a program that runs throughout the school year, so I was sad that this was the last one until August. But Megan told us that their summer program called Kids Summer Fun Wednesdays will be starting on June 29th. Mikaela wants to go back and make a tie dye shirt that day. I think they have some really cute crafts for kids to make this summer just check out the lineup.

I want to thank AC Moore for inviting us out to this fun event. Can’t wait to go to their Kids Summer Fun Wednesdays. Oh by the way, did I mention that all these crafts are free!!!!
