Accepting the Fiverr Challenge #FiverrHustle

Had you ever been challenged to do something and even though if it is a little out of your comfort zone, for some reason you lose your mind for a moment and agree to do it. Well that was me a couple of weeks ago when I was asked to take part in a blogger challenge.

At beginning of this year I decided wanted to step out side of my comfort zone and do new things.

importance of networking

  • One of the challenges was to go to more events and meet more Bloggers. I can check this out my list. This challenge started in march with the Carolina Blogging conference in Gastonia North Carolina and has continued.
  • This second thing I learn was don’t be discouraged by one no, keep going until I get a yes. I can check that off as well.

  • Take that chance and apply for opportunities even when I don’t think I will get them. Been there done that. One example of this was when I applied for the Carowinds blogger program, not thinking I would get it, but actually got.
  • Another one was getting out from behind the camera and in front of it. My recent post about the last Carolina Railhawks game is proof of that.

  • The other challenge was a more personal one for me that totally has to do with my self-esteem and appearance. And things are in the works for that to happen. I alluded to this on Periscope one night. Look for more in-depth blog post about that soon.
  • And now this latest challenge. Stepping out and a professional sense and offering some services. All right get your mind out of the gutter. I am talking about offering professional blog services. What kind of services you ask? Blog posts, roundup posts, graphics for your posts, title art, as well as writing pitch letters via the awesome website Fiverr.

What is Fiverr you ask? It is a global online marketplace offering tasks and services, beginning at a cost of $5 per job performed, from which it gets its name. The site is primarily used by freelancers who use Fiverr to offer services to customers worldwide.

That is where the challenge comes in. I was contacted to take part in a challenge putting two groups of Bloggers against each other. It’s the financial Bloggers vs. The lifestyle Bloggers. Each group of us has 60 days to build our side business on Fiverr. We are competing to see which group can earn the most money.

To say I am excited about this challenge would be so wrong. I am not just excited I and ecstatic about it as well as a little bit anxious and nervous. But as I said before this year is about getting out of my comfort zone. So this challenge is right up my alley.

So now you’re probably wondering how can you benefit from this challenge. First you can hire me on Fiverr and this is why. First and foremost pitch letters are what I do best. There’s some examples of things that I have got from writing pitch letters. Hotel rooms, vacations, products, as well as meals. One example is a pitched a visitors center and received two nights at the Great Wolf Lodge, tickets to an aquarium, tickets to the Nascar Hall of Fame museum as well as a free meal. And that was all at one time. This made for a fun family vacation that did not cost a lot of money.

So head on over to Fiverr and look around and make sure you hire me because that will help us in our challenge. So tell me what the services do you think you would need? Also have you ever used Fiverr before and if so what was your experience like?

If you use the discount code FRUGALMOM2015 you get $5 off of one my gigs. I will be working on adding more today.

  1. I can personally say that Melissa has a knack for writing pitch letters. We have been blessed to have her as part of our group and she has given very helpful tips on writing pitch letter and what makes a great pitch letter. I have used some of her suggestions and have reapplied for gigs and landed a few that I previously got “no’s” to. I highly recommend hiring Melissa to write a pitch letter for you and can say that your business is in her best interest if you hire her to write for you!
