Carole P. Roman does it yet again, in her next If You Were Me and Lived in…. series, she takes the reader to the culture of South Korea. Just like in the other books, Roman allows children to explore the culture with common everyday items that children would need if they lived in South Korea. I even learned something new.
If you are on the fence about this book, just read the summary.
“If You Were Me and Lived In… South Korea- An Introduction to Learning about Other Cultures,” is the third entry in this educational series that takes children on a journey to Asia, this time landing in South Korea! Perfect for children from Pre-K to age eight, this little book is a ground breaking new experience in exposing children to the joy of cultural differences.
This book would be great to use as a way to teach children tolerance of other cultures. Even though we may look different, sound different, and eat different things we are all the same on the inside. And we get out of bed and get dressed it is just that our clothes may look different.
Kudos to Roman for yet another awesome book in this series. For more information about this series check out her website.
