Rather than letting yourself get to this point, however, it’s important to try to keep yourself in check and stay calm despite the pressure of all of the things that are called for to keep the family going. It’s all about knowing how to wisely avoid getting yourself to a point of stress by applying the following methods.

 Don’t Overbook Yourself

While it may be tempting to schedule lots of activities for your kids plus social activities, sometimes it’s important to know when to pull the reins.  Overbooking yourself so that you have to rush from point A to point B all day long is asking for a disaster.

If you’re constantly in a state of rushing without ever taking a moment to slow down, you aren’t just losing sight of the moment, but you’re also running the risk of potentially getting into an accident

Try to plan your day with a realistic attitude.  It’s ok to say no sometimes when it comes to booking your family’s activities.  Cramming too much it may mean that you never really stay present since you’re constantly thinking about the next place you have to go.

Sometimes it’s important to unplug from the madness and take time to give yourself the self-care that you want and you deserve. Taking a moment at least once a day to do something that makes you happy and calms you down is important.  Without doing this every now and then you may start to feel like you have nothing left to give.

Always make sure to give to yourself in addition to giving to others.  Otherwise, you run the risk of your tank getting to empty.

Get Plenty Of Sleep

One of the most important things that you can do for yourself t keep your stress down is to get a proper sleep every night.  Getting sleep means that you are fueling your body with the energy that it needs.  You won’t just be able to handle your tasks better, but you’ll be much more likely to stay calm in a stressful moment.

Try to aim for at least 8 hours of sleep a night.  This will guarantee that you don’t have a burnout.  Some people make the mistake of pushing themselves so far that they eventually get to a point of exhaustion, and it’s simply not worth it.
