Flip Flopping Through Summer

I was given the opportunity to review three bottles of Flip Flop Wines. When I first received my package I thought what a great excuse to get together with some friends of ours. So I called our friends, Mike and Marcie, who also have three daughters two of them are named Mikaela and Maddie. (How weird is that?) So I texted them to see if they were available to come over for a wine tasting. Marcie texted me back that sure they would love to. We set the time and the date and the Tasting was on.

The three bottles of wine we tasted were the Riesling, Pinot Grigio and the Pinot Noir. We also threw in two more bottles from another brand just to see if we noticed the differences in quality or taste. All I can say by the end of the evening there was very little wine left.

My favorite of the Flip Flop wines we samples was the Riesling. Of course, because I am a sweet wine drinker.  The Pinot Grigio was my second favorite. I think everybody liked this one the best. As my friend, Marcie said a glass of this wine would be good relaxing on the beach listening to the waves. I am normally not a fan of pinot grigio but this wine has made me rethink my position on that. I loved the fact that there was no bitter aftertaste like most wines. The last wine of the night was the Pinot Noir. This was my least favorite but both my husband and our friends enjoyed it.

I loved the three bottles we sampled. Flip Flop wines sell for $7.00 a  bottle which is actually a very good deal. The cost of the wine allows the drinker quality “champagne” of wines on a beer budget. I also loved how the wines had other fruit flavors embodied in the wine. The Riesling has the flavors of peach, apricot and melon infused in it. The Pinot Grigio has the flavors of tropical citrus and pear. The last but not least the Pinot Noir has the flavor of cherries infused in it.

Besides the taste and the price, another great part of this wine is the Soles4Souls campaign that Flip Flop Wines is involved in. Why is that important? Because more than 300 million children in the world are without shoes. Flip Flop Wines are helping to put shoes on more than 100,000 feet. For each bottle of wine purchased a pair of flip flop sandals will be given to a person in need. This will help prevent the spread of serious health conditions.

I will definitely recommend these wines to everyone I know.

The only compensation I received for this review were the three bottles of wine. The opinions expressed in this review are all solely mine.
