First start with a cake mix. It can be any kind. I used the Pineapple Supreme because we love pineapple in our house. ( but you can use a white or yellow cake). Prepare cake mix as directed.
Next pour about half can of crushed pineapple (juice and all) into the cake batter. Cook as directed on package.
After cake comes out of oven and has cooled a little bit, poke holes on the top of cake and pour the remaining juice and pineapple on top. Spread it out.
After cake has completely cooled, cover with cool whip. Then store in the refrigerator until ready to eat. This is a cool and refreshing summer treat.
