A Confession and A Thanks

As I embark on this Sweet 16 weekend I have been given some strong messages this week that I need to give thanks for what I have and for those that have helped me along the way. I admit that lately it seems that I have been getting away from sharing more of the personal side of me that is why I decided to do the ABC’s of me and that led me to the 30 day blogging challenge. Which I believe is going to be good for me. In the challenge I am able to express how I feel it is not directed to anyone it is how I feel. I realized that I had gotten away from the personal stuff and started getting to commericalized in my posts. As one friend put it so eloquently one day that she thought she was the only one that felt that way and that she likes to read my blog because she knows she is not the only one. Thanks Shelley for that reminder. So that said this summer has been a very rough summer for me. Financial issues (which thankful have gotten better -:) ) a husband who is never home because of his job- and I know what you are thinking that I could ask him to take time off but that was not an option.) and dealing with some slights that might have seemed small to others but to me they were just the icing on top of the cake. I realize that for some this may not seem like a big deal but when you are going through it – it can consume you if you let it and I let it. That doesn’t mean that I will never be negative again because we are only human but I will work on overcoming negativity.
That said now I need to give thanks to those who have helped me along this blogging journey. First, I want to thank Brittany at The Frugal Free Gal for talking me into this crazy world we call blogging. If it was not for her support in the beginning this blog would not be what it is today. Thanks, Brittany. I also would like to take this opportunity to thank Brooke Anna at Mommy Does…, she has supported and been very patient with me when I asked all my trillions and trillions of questions. I also would like to thank the girls in my blogging groups- I belong to 3 – 1 for technical support Blog and Social Media Boosters you have helped me with all the technical issues and given me some awesome feedback. The other 2 groups I belong to are for technical and emotional support and they so reminded me that when one opportunity closes another one opens and if it hadn’t been for some issues that I was dealing with I never would have met this awesome group of ladies. So to the awesome groups, BlogStars and Karma Bloggers thank you for being there when I needed a shoulder to cry on and for helping me to see past the little things into the bigger future. I plan on running a series of posts about all these awesome bloggers that have been a blessing in my life. I would be remiss if I did not mention two other bloggers  one is Stephanie from Beauty Brite without her allowing me to co host the blog hop with her I would not have met these wonderful group of women. And I also want to give a shout out to a blogger who is just starting in this journey called blogging Amanda at Mommy Likes Deals she hit the 1000 mark like me on facebook yesterday but could use some GFC love. All in all I am thankful for those that I met along this journey I call blogging. With that said I will be off and on all weekend with the sweet 16 looming 1 day away and family coming in I might not be able to get on the computer like I would like. I have some scheduled posts but will be back full strength on Tuesday. Everybody have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
