How many times do you actually get together with friends and do something that is good for you. Yea sitting and chatting with one another is good but I am talking about being physically active with your friends.

There is one friend that I totally admire. She has given me the courage to break out of this rut that I am in and start moving. Her weight loss journey has been just that.

We have been on a total exercise train lately. Did you know that you need to sneak in exercise whenever you can?  You can even sneak it in while doing housework. Exercise is always better with friends. Whether it is swimming, hiking, walking, walking the dogs, chasing kittens, cleaning the house or even having a paint war. You can sneak exercise in.

Paint wars are a lot of fun. You just grab a few friends and a few bottles of paint and go to town. You put the paint on your hands and start a game of tag with your friends.

It is a fun and messy way to sneak exercise in your routine as well as having a blast with your friends. Plus there is the added bonus of having one of a kind works of art to add to your wardrobe.

After a hearty game of paint war, you want to keep those good vibes going with an awesome snack. And what better way to prepare a snack than to use fresh fruit and SPLENDA®. Did you know that swapping just one cup of sugar with one cup of SPLENDA® can save you over 600 calories? When I found that out I wanted to make that I used SPLENDA® in the snack. I found this very easy recipe on SWEETSWAPS.COM™ that was such a hit with the girls. That I can’t wait to try it again.

Fruit and Yogurt Parfaits with SPLENDA®

This quick and easy treat is nice to have after an day exercising with friends.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 10 people

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Packets SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener
  • 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup kiwi peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp granola cereal clusters

Instructions
 

  • Mix SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener and fruit in a small bowl.

  • Spoon 1/2 cup of yogurt into a glass. I found these cute glasses at the dollar store. Along with these really cute spoons.
  • Top with half of the fruit mixture.
  • Top with Cereal

  4. I love using splenda in as much as I can!! I also love yogurt and fruit parfaits. I make them often they are really good and my kids think they are just amazing!

  9. I truly love granola. It’s so good for me haha. Your 100% correct exercise is so important. I tend to slack off this time of the year when its too hot. I don’t mind the winter but when its 100 out. It knocks me out:)

  14. These yogurt parfaits look delicious! I love substituting Splenda for sugar whenever possible. Adds a nice amount of sweetness without the carbs of sugar.

  15. You’re right! I also sneak in a little exercise by parking farther away from stores than I normally would to have to walk more. I also prefer to take stairs instead of escalators too to get in a little extra exercise.
