Creating an Inspiration Wall For Less

Inspiration wall

Since my oldest daughter has moved it, we decided to make her room into a television room/ fitness room. But you know what sometimes, I am not excited to go in there to exercise. So I decided I needed to make this place an inspiration room not only to get the girls and me exercising but also as a way to keep us exercising. I struggled with how to decorate it and then I hit upon this genius inexpensive idea, an inspiration wall.  I will have to say that I absolutely love it. Read the rest of the post to see how I created the inspiration wall in a few simple steps using a few simple items.

How to Create An Inspiration Wall

The first thing I did was made sure that the walls were empty. It ‘s nice to start with a blank slate. I then went and got some ribbons and plain clipboards. I kept having to add more clipboards because I wasn’t sure how many clipboards I would need.

I started looking for inspirational quotes to clip on the boards. I found a majority of these on the Jane website. I know what you think that is a lot of money but most times I waited until they had their buy one get one free designs and there are a few that I was able to use from magazines. But of course don’t forget the printable that you can find here.

Most of the designs that I purchased from Jane were printed on thick card stock like paper, but I wanted to make sure these would last and not fade so using my thermal laminator I made sure they were protected. I was surprised how easy this was to do.

After I had got all my prints laminated, I went about placing them on the wall. I used ribbons to hang the clipboards on the wall. And I will have to say that I love the look of our television/ entertainment room. What do you think?

Wondering about the treadmill desk and the laminator don’t worry these posts will be coming soon on these!!!
