Create Unique Ornaments with Sharpie Extreme
This post is sponsored by Sharpie. However, all the ornaments are ours.
Sharpies are so versatile; I remember a few years ago making these Mickey Ornaments using Sharpies. To me, they are much easier to use than paint. Plus I will admit that I am a hot mess at painting the fine details.
Last Sunday afternoon, my girls, Lyman and I decided to make some ornaments for the tree using Sharpies. I will admit that I haven’t been in the Christmas mood yet, so the tree isn’t up. This is the second Christmas without my dad. Last year, it was all about getting through the holidays, this year it is hitting me hard. In fact, last night I found myself crying thinking about what another Christmas without him will be like.
I was amazed at how beautiful the ornaments turned out.
And guess what I am going to show you how to make some of these ornaments for your tree.
Materials Needed:
- Sharpie Extreme Permanent Markers
- Ornaments
- Your Imagination
Directions:
- Draw your design on the ornament.
- Color with Sharpies
- And you are done. Yep, that easy.
Here are some of the designs that we did.
String of Lights
A simple black cat one. I made this one for Maddie’s tree. It looks like her cat, Helix.
A simple polka dot one
Allie – This was my attempt at drawing her free handed.
A simple Snowman
An Owl
Familia – the Spanish Word for Family. Because family is everything to us.
A Mouse Ornament- This one is for my Mikaela. My dad always called her Mick Mouse.
A Santa Cam One- Why buy one when you can make one?
And here are a few others we did.
I loved working with these markers. Sharpie Extreme Permanent Markers deliver fade-resistant bold colors on a variety of surfaces, which means there’s no end to the fun holiday projects you can create. From customized wrappings and personalized ceramic mugs to creative glass ornaments or a special cookie plate for Santa, spreading holiday cheer has never been so easy! So tell me what ornament are you going to make for your tree?

These are all so cute, Melissa! I like the holiday lights the best. Great idea!
Such a great idea! And you’re right, so much easier to use sharpies instead of paint. In fact, one of my favorite ornaments is one that a friend gave me for my birthday that was made from a light bulb and painted to look like a snowman. It’s so much fun to get creative and make ornaments and projects that are meaningful and you can carry those memories with you year round!
