The Importance of Networking
Recently I had the chance to attend a networking event for Carolina Blogging. It was the first event that I have ever attended for blogging. I have always been a little anxious when it comes to new things and meeting others in the same profession as myself can be a little overwhelming.
As the event was several hours away I decided to make it a girls weekend and brought my two oldest daughters along for the ride so to speak. My friend Liz who lives in SC met us there on Saturday.
All I can say is that I love the energy that this group had. All of us were able to ask questions of the presenters. I love how we were able to mingle with each other and that we all were accepting of each other. I have met some very awesome new friends from this group and I am so glad that I took the chance and went. Although it was a smaller conference it was one that I could afford so that is what it is all about. Being able to make connections while being able to afford was a huge plus for me. One of the goals I have set for myself this year was to attend a conference. So now I have accomplished that. Plus I love that it was just bloggers from North and South Carolina that attended.
It is so important to make connections online and offline. So tell me have you ever attended a blogging event or a conference in your work niche? Did you have anxiety over it? Tell me your experience so we all can learn.

I have still yet to attend a blog conference. I really really want to go to one so I can network and meet other people face to face that do what I do. I just started up a second blog and I would love if you stopped by! Have a great sunday!
I actually attended my first blogging conference last year and I loved it! It was a bit overwhelming at first but I really enjoyed connecting and meeting other bloggers and brands. I do agree that networking is important and I’m excited to attend again this year. I’m glad you had a good experience!
