Well Beginnings Diapers Don’t Disappoint

Today I am happy to welcome Emily to the Adventures of Frugal Mom family. She is someone that has my total respect. Not only because she runs a business but she also is a mom to two active cuties. She is near and dear to our hearts as she was my oldest Maddie’s first boss. I hope that she will contribute more articles in the future. She is my go to for baby reviews. So here is Emily’s review of Well Beginnings diapers. BTW I gave it her the diapers without any information as I wanted this to be an unbiased review. I have since told her that these diapers are sold exclusively at Walgreen’s. We received a complimentary sample in exchange for this review.

I’m the definition of a busy mom.  I run an agritourism business which is ramping up for fall activities, plus I have two kids, one of which is home with me full time, plus I help my husband run our small produce farm.  I don’t have time for a lot of extras and inconveniences and being a small farmer my budget is usually pretty tight.  So when Melissa asked if someone would like to review diapers I thought, hey free diapers, and jumped on it.  What is the worst that could happen?  They’re horrible?  At least I didn’t waste my hard earned money on diapers that I either just don’t like or don’t work for my daughter.

Turns out my low expectations were unfounded completely by Well Beginnings Diapers.  From the start I liked the diapers.  They were thin which is great for babies trying to walk/run around and it fits great under their clothes.  They were also relatively plain, not covered in garish colors or characters that show through the clothing.  There is nothing worse than dressing your child in an expensive outfit for pictures or church and you can see the design through the clothes.  Another aspect I liked was that they were unscented.  I am sensitive to scents and would rather not have to smell that fake powder scent every time I hold my child.  Then my daughter started to wear them and I was even more impressed. She never leaked once while wearing them and even when they were saturated they were not soggy.  I will be a little disappointed when my pack runs out.  I even looked at Wal-Mart the other day just to make sure they didn’t sell them.  If I found them in the store and the price was comparable to other brands I would for sure purchase them, and I would definitely recommend them to my friends with babies.

  1. Its rare you find discreet and then diapers that hold up as well as it sounds these have. I agree, sometimes its nice not to have the frills of fragrance and logos!

  2. I buy Well Beginnings diapers from time to time and have never had a quality issue. I like the cute prints they have as well = )

  3. I hear you about scented diapers. I have no idea why these companies think they need to add scent. Babies have sensitive skin to begin with, we don’t need to add to the problems.

  4. Those diapers sound great. I am past the stage in my life for diapers, but I would have used these had I known about them back in the day 🙂

  5. We’re long out of diapers now but it’s nice to hear there are good ones out there. Diapers are a huge hit to the family budget!

  6. Are they latex free diapers? I have a close friend that is allergic to latex as well as many other things.

  7. The first I noticed was how thing they look on the picture! That would be a plus for me. I just hope they could hold up to my son 🙂

  8. We use cloth diapers most of the time, but use sposies for bedtime and when we are out and about. I love that they are plain and not helping “characterized” kids by always putting things in their face. Sounds like a great diaper.

  9. I’m glad you like them. I like that they’re effective, but I like too that they’re thin. Bulky diaper days are gone (and hurrah for it!).

  10. Good for you for not giving into those first feeling about quality/etc. and giving them a shot. Glad it all worked out for you in the end! (pun intended!)

  11. Unscented is a must for us too- we prefer unbleached but these sounds great! I have never tried them before

  12. I’ve never heard of this brand, but great review! Diapers are definitely something mommies and babies need to agree upon!

  13. It’s been a long time since we’ve used diapers in this house but those sound great.

  14. I am with you, I love finding thinner diapers for when they are learning to walk. It is hard enough for them to learn to walk without having that big bunch of diaper to deal with.

  15. I’d never heard of this brand before. We mostly cloth diapered during my son’s diaper-wearing days. And when we didn’t use cloth, we had to use something fairly natural and unscented. He had such sensitive skin!

  16. These sound like great diapers. I would definitely check them out if I still had a kid who needed them!

  17. If only they had this brand here in Trinidad. My friend just had a baby and I know she’s been trying different diaper brands. I’d still recommend this to her.

  18. Always glad to hear about new products that are not big brand names but still get the job done. I would rather give up the cute characters and the scents in return for a more affordable diaper.

  19. I had a friend try these & she loved them too. I, however, am obsessed with their wipes (my little decided to graduate to potty training).

  20. I’m very inexperienced when it comes to disposable diapers, since I’ve only done cloth, but there was a short period of time when my girls had to go to daycare while I worked after becoming a single mom and I did not like what I got 🙁 This is a great alternative.
