Party Favors for Under A Dollar
If you follow me on Facebook, I have posted several times about planning my daughter’s Quinceneara this year. Mikaela will be 15 in March. She has always been the one out of all three daughters that embraced her hispanic heritage more than the other two do. Maddie had a Sweet 16 that we did very frugally. That was so much easier to plan than this one. A quinceneara is celebrated differently from any other birthday, as it marks the transition from child to young woman. There are so many traditions involved with it. One of them is the giving of recuerdos or party favors for guests to remember her big day. I blogged about one of the favors awhile back you can read about the cross favor here. Today I am going to share another favor with you.
Materials Needed:
-
plastic champagne glasses ( you can get 6 for a $1.00 at the Dollar Store)
- Ribbon
- Doll
- Butterfly
- Spray Paint of any color
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks.
The first thing that you need to is take the plastic champagne glasses and separate the bottoms from the glass. Then spray paint all the glass. We used silver spray paint. Your glass should look like this.
After the spray paint dries, hot glue the little doll on the top of the upside down glass. Then add a ribbon and a butterfly and you have an unique party favor for less a $1.00 a piece. Here is the finished product.
Most of these favors cost $25.00 per dozen. Yep folks they are expensive. This is just one of the many favors that we have for her big day. Look for more favors and frugal plans up to her big day in March.
