Farewell Letter to a Great Account Rep

The other day I wrote a post about how excited I was to have my favorite player back on the pitch (AKA soccer field) for the Carolina Railhawks, but I failed to mention that another one of my favorites was leaving. That was the account manager who handled all of our needs about anything that pertained to the Railhawks. Jessie was my go to for everything Railhawks. She left a few weeks ago to take a job at The University of Georgia. So I wanted to take this time to profile her and say thank you to her publicly and wish her all the best. It would be an understatement to say that I was saddened to see Jessie leave this year. I felt she was one of the few who truly knew what we were going through.

Farewell To Great Account Rep

She was always so helpful and was genuinely concerned about every person that she came into contact with. She even let the players know how sick Gracie was in January- this spurred a little video sent to Gracie by her favorite player Justin telling her to keep her head up. To me that was above and beyond what her job entailed. I had been working on a profile for her for the blog but somehow it just never happened. So instead of the profile, I decided to write a thank you and farewell letter to her. So here it goes.

Dear Jessie,

Thank you so much for being the kind and caring person you are. I am saddened that you have left the Railhawks but I know that you couldn’t stay there forever. (Even though I wish you would have)I know that you have amazing things awaiting for you in the future. I wish you the best of luck in your new job at the University of Georgia.

Words cannot express how much your caring touch has meant to my family and myself. I will have to say that you always went the extra mile for us and you did it with a smile on your face. I loved that you always asked how Gracie was doing and how you bought a smile to her face just by mentioning to her favorite player what was going on. That was amazing and a bright spot in a somewhat bleak time.

Your attention to detail made a hard job look easy. I also enjoyed chatting with you when we had the occasion to chat. I know you told me in one of our conversations that you used to be a teacher. But I think you still are, because you are touching the lives of young fans with your ever present smile and positive outlook on the job.

You will be greatly missed by all in Railhawks Nation especially by my family and I. But I know whatever your future holds for you, you are going to be a huge success.

Miss You Lots and Thanks for doing an outstanding job,

Adventures of Frugal Mom Family

Raul, Melissa, Maddie, Mikaela, and Gracie

  1. What a beautiful letter! I’m sure she will be a loss to the Railhawks, especially at the start. (By the way, WHO are the Railhawks?). I think the bottom line is that letters like yours are as fulfilling as the work that one has done.
