Thrill Chasing With a Great Group of Bloggers

AFM Busch gardens bloggers

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the first meeting of the Busch Gardens Water Country USA Ambassador Bloggers, also known as “The Thrill Chasers.” Many of you will remember that my family and I attended their ChristmasTown media event back in November, and we fell in love. At this event, Koy Grant, Associate Marketing Manager for the park, mentioned that they were looking for bloggers to join them as official bloggers for the park. I thought wow what a great opportunity and I could not wait to apply. I will admit that when I applied, I had the thought I probably won’t get it, but it won’t hurt to apply. Imagine my surprise when I opened my email back in February and found out that not only did I receive this fantastic honor but I am in the company of some of the most awesome bloggers that have ever written a blog post.

I will have to say that I am very honored to be a part of this amazing group representing an incredible theme park like Busch Gardens Water Country USA. So I want to take some time to introduce you to my amazing new friends, and I am looking forward to sharing our adventures at the park during the year. So without further ado here are the thrill chasers of Busch Gardens.

Up first is Mickey from A Helicopter Mom. I have written about her before because she is another North Carolina blogger that I run into from time to time at events. I first met Mickey at a prescreening of John Carter. We have become fast friends, and she is also one of the bloggers that I admire. She just seems like she has it all together. I always think that why can’t I write like her.

The second one up is Krystel from Army Wife 101. She is also a blogger from North Carolina, who like me woke up in the early morning hours Saturday morning to make the long drive to be at the 8 am meeting. Can you say lots of caffeine?? I admire Krystel because she gives military moms a voice.

Notice how I put the two North Carolina on the top of the list. Us girls from North Carolina have to stick together.

Now the blogger that came the longest distance was Oni. She made the trip all the way from New Jersey. You can find her blogging at Onezumiverse. I love her unique take on things as well as her works of art. If only I could be that talented. I can tell I am going to learn a lot from her.

The blogger that cracked me up the most was Jenny from Holdin’ Holden. She was so funny. I got the chance to chat with her and a few other bloggers while we were waiting for our individual pictures to be taken. I was lucky enough to be in a great group. Jenny is the first to admit that she has a potty mouth, I find that honesty very refreshing and she is a hoot. Make sure to check her out and all her derp faces.

Now the blogger that seems like she is having a lot of fun is MAria from Close to Home. She had just spent the night before at Great Wolf Lodge how fun. I will have to admit that she is one of the ones that I immediately hit it off with.  I enjoyed chatting with her. Check out her blog for yummy looking recipes and more.

Now the blogger who runs circles all of us, I do mean literally is Emily from Inside the Magic. She was in my group when we were taking individual pictures, and she shared with us that she was running a half marathon the next day. Wow, I wonder if I can count the steps I take in a day as a marathon.  That is what I call inspiration. I am lucky if I can run around the block.

The next blogger that I started a conversation with was one that my daughter took notice of first. They had something in common, their name. Micaela from Kids Trip Nova may spell her name different from my Mikaela, but she is just as sweet as mine. I look forward to reading her blog that mainly focuses on trips for kids.

Laura from A Frugal Chick I will have to say impressed me. She was the only one of us that when handed the microphone to introduce herself she stood up so that everyone could see her. Not that type of bravery I admire, and she was one of the last bloggers to introduce herself. She has lots of great deals on her site so check it out.

Olivia is the go-to blog for anything Williamsburg, hence, her blog name Williamsburg Families. She has a great site for families, so if you live in Virginia or plan on taking a trip to Williamsburg check her site out you might find a hidden gem of an event that your family will love.

Sandy, from Richmond Theme Parks Examiner, writes for the examiner and her niche, is theme parks in Richmond as her name would suggest. Virginia is very lucky to have such great theme parks and activities for children.

Christa blogs at Richmond Mom. She is the go-to girl for all things Richmond, so if you are planning a visit to Busch Gardens and traveling through Richmond, check out her blog made it might give you an idea for a side trip.

Naoma is one busy blogger. Not only did she attend that event at Busch Gardens that day but that night she was at another event Toast to the Heroes. Now that is what I call a girl on the go. Make sure to check out her blog, Ask Naoma.

If you are looking for anything that has to do with the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, then Kira at 757 Lifestyle is your go-to girl. Check out her blog for great deals as well as fabulous articles.

Victoria from Giveaways 4 Mom is the go-to mom when it comes to anything that has to do with giveaways and being a mom.

Christina, blogs at What Doesn’t Kill You, Makes You Crazy. She has a unique take on life, and I am going to enjoy reading more of her blog.

I have saved the two unique bloggers for last. The first is a blogger that is really a vlogger. Kaitlyn vlogs at iMAGINEblank. IF you are not sure what a vlogger is, basically it is just like a blogger but instead of writing words down on paper, they make videos. I love watching her vlogs. Hopefully I will get the courage to start making vlog entries as well.

And the most unique one of us bloggers is Russell from Theme Park Insider. The lone male in the group, but he did not let that bother him at all. He was also in the group that I was in for individual pictures, and I really enjoyed chatting with him, even if he did shamelessly promoted his site by wearing a t-shirt with his site’s name on it. JK, we all wished we had thought of that.

There is also some other bloggers that we will be working with throughout the year, and that is Busch Gardens staff bloggers. Emily is in charge of this great group, and I am looking forward to reading more blogs from this great group. If you are looking for inside info about Busch Gardens than check out Inside Busch Gardens Blog

So to say that I feel  honored to be associated with a great group of blogs would be an understatement. I am impressed with everyone that was chosen and can’t wait to have more adventures with them. bus
