Remember that feeling when you go to check your mail and I am not talking emails and find a card or letter from a loved one. I love to receive letters and cards from those I love and care about but sadly I will admit that I am very guilty of not sending cards as well. In this age of electronics, it seems that sending cards and letters has seemed to have fallen by the wayside.

That is why I am so excited to be able to participate in the Hallmark Get Carded Challenge. This challenge was designed to help you connect and reconnect you with loved ones. The mission of this challenge is to send seven cards in seven days to seven people who are important to me. So here is the first of the 7 day posts of this awesome challenge.

I chose to send the first card to our niece, Lucero. If you follow me on instagram, you know we just recently took a quick day trip to see the new baby that was born into our family.

This little one was a miracle for sure. You see Lucero is his mom, she is married to Raul’s, my husband, nephew. She went through a lot to bring him into the world. Her pregnancy was not an easy one for sure. She hurt her back at the beginning of her pregnancy and the emergency room gave her the wrong medicine. The aftermath of being prescribed the wrong medicine she ended up being admitted to the hospital and was paralyzed for a while. Plus add to the fact that during this pregnancy she suffered with severe morning sickness. Anybody who has ever suffered from this knows how terrible this can be.

So now that the new little one was born, I wanted to send her a quick note AKA card to let her know that I am so happy that everything is okay with her and the baby. I also told her I was glad that Felipe AKA PP found such a wonderful woman to share his life with. So that is where the first card of the seven day challenge went.

Why don’t you join this challenge with me? Send 7 cards for 7 days and to help you get started here is a discount code BLOG30 to buy cards for 30% off on Hallmark.com throughout the year.
