Being a mom of three amazing girls is hard work. I can remember thinking when I was younger if I would ever survive the years that they were babies. My oldest had colic and the other two were very picky eaters. But one thing that they had in common was their love of Cheerios. I could quickly grab some and pour them into a bowl and they would be happy and satisfied. And why wouldn’t they be? Cheerios is a brand that I grew up with as well. Back then, there was just one flavor and that was the original flavor. But now, there are so many new kinds to choose from.

Just the other day I was at our local Walmart checking out the cereal aisle because let’s face it, it is summer and prime cereal eating time. Nobody has the energy or time to cook so we always grab a quick bowl of cereal for lunch. And I was surprised with how many flavors of Cheerios there are to choose from now.  And now they have a new variety that everyone in my family loves.

And that kind is Cheerios Oat Crunch. Yes, you read that right, Cheerios with a crunch factor. They are made with Multi Grain Cheerios and are topped with whole grain oats and real cinnamon. This cereal is amazing. I mean Gracie, my youngest, has almost finished the whole box by herself. And Mikaela, my middle daughter, even tried to share it with Princess Allie, our 7-year-old spoiled rotten Shih Tzu.

As a mom, I love that this cereal doesn’t contain a lot of the junk that other cereals do and I know if they are grabbing a bowl of cereal instead of a bag of chips as a snack, they are being heart healthy. I also love that it has the crunch factor. I am a girl who likes a little crunch, give me a bag of potato chips and I am one happy girl, but after eating the whole bag, I become one bloated girl. But now my crunch factor can be satisfied by grabbing a handful or two of Cheerios Oat Crunch. I especially love to take a sandwich bag full of these to my tiny office and snack on them while I work.

I am really impressed with how tasty they are and how they didn’t mess with the consistency of the cereal, because sometimes the sequel is never as good as the original.
So tell me have you tried the new brand of Cheerios? If you have let me know what your thoughts are about them? If you haven’t, what are you waiting for?
