To construct these culinary delights, you need to follow these directions.

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Spray your muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. This is very important because getting them out can be a little tricky. I had to use a two spatulas to make sure they came out in one piece.
  • Remove crescent from the can. And with a rolling pin roll the dough out, making sure the seams are sealed. You should have a long rectangle.
  • After making the dough into a rectangle cut it into 12 squares.
  • Take each square and put them in the bottom of muffin tin.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese, Italian seasoning and 1/2 cup of cheese. You can use a spoon or mixer. But in my case, I used my hands. Because remember I have a love- hate relationship with cream cheese and mixing it.

  • Take the cream cheese mixture and place on the bottom of each muffin cup.

  • Then add your meatballs. We used the al fresco Italian chicken meatballs, because not only are they yummy, but they are made with lean, skinless chicken meat, and are high in protein and even gluten free.
