Looking for the perfect appetizer that can double for a meal then look no further than these MeatBall appetizers. These are perfect for a meal or to eat as appetizers while cheering your team. GO PANTHERS!!!
These are so easy to make that you will time to enjoy the game and socialize with friends. And you don’t have to be in the kitchen with these yummy treats. And the taste, forget about it, people will be raving about how yummy they are, and complimenting your culinary skills.
Here are what you need to make these yummy MeatBall Bowl Appetizers.
- 1 can of crescent dinner rolls
- 4 oz of cream cheese softened
- 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 12 frozen al fresco chicken Italian meatballs
- 1 1/4 cup of spaghetti sauce
Yep, it only takes a few ingredients to make these yummy appetizers that will leave them wanting more.
To construct these culinary delights, you need to follow these directions.
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Spray your muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. This is very important because getting them out can be a little tricky. I had to use a two spatulas to make sure they came out in one piece.
- Remove crescent from the can. And with a rolling pin roll the dough out, making sure the seams are sealed. You should have a long rectangle.
- After making the dough into a rectangle cut it into 12 squares.
- Take each square and put them in the bottom of muffin tin.
- In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese, Italian seasoning and 1/2 cup of cheese. You can use a spoon or mixer. But in my case, I used my hands. Because remember I have a love- hate relationship with cream cheese and mixing it.
- Take the cream cheese mixture and place on the bottom of each muffin cup.
- Then add your meatballs. We used the al fresco Italian chicken meatballs, because not only are they yummy, but they are made with lean, skinless chicken meat, and are high in protein and even gluten free.
- Top each of the meatballs with 2 tablespoons spaghetti sauce and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Cook 15-18 minutes or until they are golden brown.
Oh did I forget to mention that the al fresco meatballs will help with the post game bloat, that you get from eating too much yummy food.
