Spending a Saturday Painting

A few weeks Gracie was invited to a birthday party of  one of her friends. This party was a unique party to say the least. It was held at a painting studio called Wine and Design. No at this party there was no wine but a lot of painting. When we first got there we were able to view painting done by other artists.

In this picture you can see the paintings hanging on the wall. The level of talent was amazing. The first step was already done before we got there. Each girl was given a canvas with the Eiffel Tower outline already on the canvas in pencil. Their job was to follow the instructor as she lead them step by step in the painting process. The instructor, Casey, was amazing and so patient with the girls.

Gracie is filling in the sky on her painting. You can not see the pencil sketch but in the next picture you will.

Here she is with her finished sky . The Eiffel Tower outline is clear now.

Painting the ground and the bushes. Some of the girls chose to put clouds in their sky but Gracie decided no clouds for her.

Here is Gracie posing with her finished product.  And now the painting by itself.

I don’t know about you but I think this a pretty good replica of the Eiffel Tower. The staff at Wine And Design was amazing. They were so patient and happy to be around a group of ten 9 and 10 year old girls that a good time was had by all. As evident of the last photo.

All those smiling faces posing with their finished artwork  says it all. This was an amazing way to spend a Saturday afternoon. It also opened me up to look for other avenues for birthday parties. Look around your town you might find a gem like Wine and Design waiting to be discovered.
