Quick and Easy Cheese Fries
When I was making my New York Inspired dinner, I knew I wanted to make cheese fries to go with it. I mean who doesn’t love cheese fries right?
I wanted to put the cheese fries in a cone like you see most street vendors use. I found an idea on Pinterest that I pinned making the cones out of doilies. But while I was in the party section of Walmart looking for the doilies, Gracie, my youngest. said why can’t we use birthday hats?

Guess what I bought? Yep, you guessed it birthday hats. Now I knew how to serve them, all I had to do was to make them. Here are the ingredients you will need to make quick and easy cheese fries.
Ingredients
- French fries ( you can make your own, or you can use store bought)
- Cheese dip ( we used Tostito’s Queso Blanco)
- Vegetable Oil
- Microwave Bacon ( we used al fresco)
- birthday hats
- wax paper
Directions
- Heat your oil.
- Once the oil starts bubbling, put french fries into fry. The amount of time will depend on how well done you like your fries. ( You may have to make several batches depending on how many you need.)
- While the fries are frying microwave the bacon according to the directions on the package. I used five pieces.
- Remove french fries from oil and allow to cool a little bit on a paper towel lined plate.
- After the bacon has cooled, crumble it into small pieces and set aside
- Cut wax paper and line the birthday hats (strings removed) with it. This will keep the extra grease out.
- Open up the jar of cheese dip.
- With tongs, place french fries into the wax paper lined birthday hat.
- Top with cheese dip and crumbled bacon.
- Serve with ranch dressing and enjoy!
