Looking Forward to Next Year
This post was made in partnership with Inviteshop.com. And it is part of the series I call Maddie’s Wedding.

Yes like the title says, I am looking forward to next year. Next year brings a lot of new and exciting challenges for us. But the one that is most close to my heart is getting a son-in-law or rather my daughter’s wedding. Lex, her fiance, I already consider family, so that doesn’t change much but planning Maddie’s wedding is something that I have been dreaming of. I never had a wedding because I saw the stress that two weddings in six months ( my two middle sisters) put my parents through, but I always wanted one. There was talk of having one later on, but it just wasn’t in the cards.

If you are new here or even if you aren’t Maddie is my oldest daughter. Out of my girls, she is probably the easiest going. She loves the simple things like cuddling with her cats, My and He and eating tacos. She isn’t into the glitz and glamour, and she has always been an old soul – wise beyond her years. So planning her wedding should be pretty easy right?

Yea, you would think that it would be, but Maddie is so busy with graduate school that she hasn’t had time to think about what she wants and add to that the fact that is over 2000 miles away in California, things can get overlooked. We have the big stuff already figured out, or so we think.
You know the big things like
- Place
- Reception place
- DJ
- Photographer
- Wedding Coordinator
- Food
- invites???
Oh, wait did I say invites? Snap my bad that is the one thing we don’t have. But this isn’t so bad; the wedding isn’t until August so we have another month or so before we need to order them but we have found a fantastic site called Inviteshop that is awesome. Not only can we look for invitations together over Facetime ( gotta love the internet) but there is such a vast selection of invited ranging from elegant to simple that I know my girl and her guy will find the right one.
I also love that she can use Inviteshop next year to send their first Holiday cards as a married couple. They are so easy to design and user-friendly.
So tell me what you are looking forward to next year? Any wedding planning in your future?
