I am Shook!!! My Daughter is …….
This past weekend has been bittersweet. This was the last weekend that Maddie would be at home before the big move to California. I am so proud of her, but this momma’s heart is breaking. It is so hard to let go, but I have every confidence that she will do wonderful things in California.
Not only is she following her dreams of getting her Ph.D., but she is also…….. wait for it………………………………….
Marrying the man of her dreams. She got engaged a few weeks ago, but I couldn’t officially tell anyone until she let the family know. So this past weekend was filled with taking engagement pictures ( my middle daughter, Mikaela, had the honor of taking her pictures.) Just check out her photos.
I loved how she announced it to friends and family. She loves her fur babies, Myelin and Helix.
I think the best reaction that I saw to this was her friend MAria, who when she opened the card she was like aww! Because let’s face it those cats are stinking cuties. And then she was like “Wait, What?” And she got so excited. It brought me to tears.
I also loved how she asked MAria, and her two sisters to be her attendants. This was something that I enjoyed creating it with her. She did the majority of the work, but I helped her with the creative side. On the front, she wrote Bridesmaid or Maid of Honor, and on the back, she modge podged a picture of her and her attendant. Then on hang tag, she wrote the person’s name and Will You be ?? And they had to flip up the card to see the question that she was asking. More on that soon.

When I went to college, I never moved back home after I graduated I got married then we bought a home of our own. My mom still misses me and I’ve been married for 12 years. She will also be your little sweetheart. Congratulations to your daughter. I wish her the best.
