Impromptu Photo Shoot with My Youngest
Yesterday I told you that I would give each one of my girls a spotlight in honor of women. Today is all about my youngest Gracie and her self confidence. Just check out the post and you can see what I am talking about. She has come a long way in the last year and I am so proud of the young woman she is becoming.
When I wrote the post The Time a Bunch of Bloggers met at The Cowfish, I promised a post about the impromptu photo shoot with my youngest daughter Gracie. That wasn’t an empty promise, I am trying to do better about following up on posts and doing it within days or sometimes weeks from the first mention. So let us see how good I will be at creating those posts and making them happen.
So back to the photo shoot, since we arrived early at the event, and it was on the totally opposite side that I thought it was we had some time to explore and of course, take some photos. I am trying really hard to spend more time in the moment and to stop thinking about what others may think about what I am doing.
Plus Gracie has grown up within the past year, and seeing her in something other in leggings and her love for fashion has grown that I can’t stop taking pictures of her when I can. Within this last year, she has really blossomed and come into her own.
So once we found The Cowfish, I immediately wanted to take a picture of her on the giant yellow cowfish in front of the restaurant.
Can we just talk about how comfortable she is in front of the camera?
Then I saw it the mural on the wall with a cardinal in it. Just in case you forgot, Cardinals are super special to me. I even incorporated them into Gracie’s quince anos and have something special for planned for Maddie’s wedding as well. I knew I had to get a picture of the mural, but my model aka Gracie wanted to get in on the fun. And fun it was.
Next, we just decided to take some pictures on the steps. I also want to add that her whole outfit was either thrifted, bought on clearance or hand me downs.
Can you believe that all three settings for the photos were right outside The Cowfish Sushi and Burger Bar located at North Hills in Raleigh NC?
