Finding Joy in the Little Things { Weekend Wonders}

Finding Joy in the Little Things

In a constantly moving and changing world, it can be easy to forget the little things that bring us joy. We are always chasing after the next big thing, and we often don’t take the time to appreciate the smaller moments that make up our lives. However, these little things can bring us the most happiness. When we take the time to notice the small details around us, finding joy in the little things will bring a smile to your face.

Kitty

This little girl showed up at my mom’s house right around the time of my sister’s death. She was afraid of us at first, but now she allows us to hold and pet her. IF only we didn’t have 4 other cats and a GIGI ( who would not leave her alone), she would be at my house. But she brings so much joy to my mom. We are trying to convince her to bring her inside.

Allie

This little booger has been quite the cuddle bug lately. She is my little shadow, and she often spends time within the blog cabin as well as cuddling with me at night when I watch tv. She hasn’t done this in a long time. I love this crazy Shih Tzu so much.

Redecorating

Yes, I have the decorating bug again. I am working on the guest room because the company is coming soon. I can’t wait to share with you what the finished room looks like. But right now, I will leave a teaser- Chinese lanterns.

Yellowstone

Y’all, I have been more excited for a season premiere than I have been for this show. I love YELLOWSTONE. In fact, I am writing this edition of weekend wonders watching a new episode of this show. Tell me, do you watch?

Boots

Boot-wearing season has finally arrived in North Carolina. I wore my favorite boots for the first of many times this past Monday. Y’all, I can’t begin to tell you how much I love these boots I got from Jane a few years ago. They are by far my best purchase from there.

Carved Phone Case

New Phone Case

There is something to be said about a new phone case. I love my case from Carved. It is truly a work of art. It is made of wood burls- the gnarly growth on tree trunks, so they don’t cut down the trees. And they last a long time. I had a hard time choosing which case I wanted because they are all so unique, but I truly love this case which reminds me of a peacock. Remember, I got a peacock to remind me of all my travels.

In conclusion, it is important to keep finding joy in the little things because life is made up of many small moments. Don’t forget to appreciate the good moments and the happy little things happening daily. Life is too short to focus on the negative. Try to enjoy each day and find something good in everything that happens. Appreciate the people, things, and moments that make you happy.
