Book Review: I’m Yours

I’m Yours is the sequel to Sweetness by Lindsay Paige. You can read my review of Sweetness by going here. In this book Emily and Jake discover a part of their relationship and learn they have to deal with the consequences of their actions.

Here is a brief summary of the book.

After the incident with Claire, Emily encounters more problems. Conrad is back with explainations and hope. Emily wants to give him a chance to explain himself. She can’t help but wonder why he left. However, Jake isn’t confortable with Emily going out to eat with an old lover.
Will things be too much for Emily to handle? Will Emily do the one thing she knows best and withdraw? Will Emily and Jake’s love for one another keep them from shattering?

 I loved this young adult romance. I also loved that it was set in North Carolina , a place that I love dearly. It is my birthplace after all. The places in this book are familiar to me. I am also impressed with the fact that the author is a high school student. Isn’t that amazing??? This book is a bittersweet romance between two teenagers who discovered too soon that sometimes it is better to think before you leap into things. Because no thinking leads to an event that can totally change the course of your life.
