There are some things in life that just bring the memories flooding back. It could be a song, a scent, a familiar place, or even a movie. You start thinking about the people you shared those memories with and it all comes flooding back to you. In this case, the thing that triggered those memories and feelings for me was a movie. When my girls were younger, we saw The Croods, in theaters and this past week I was given a chance to screen the sequel, The Croods: New Age in the comfort of my own home with one of my girls and my two fur babies wrapped in warm blankets.

Times like these with my youngest who is now 18 are few and far between so I will take them when I can get them. Because I am all about family. Which is concendentally so it the movie. The movie is all about how family isn’t always something you are born into- it is something you create.

Webster Dictionary defines family as the basic unit in society traditionally consisting of two parents rearing their children

But to me family is so much more. It is about friends who become family, It is about opening your heart and home to people you might not be related to or who even may look different than you but you love them regardless. That is what family means to me and after watching The Croods 2, I now know in my heart that is what family is supposed to mean.

I honestly can say that I absolutely love this movie which hits theaters on November 25 just in time for the Thanksgiving holidays. I can’t say enough about this movie from the cute Belt and Sash ( who remind me of Allie with those big eyes) to Wigarus, and Doug the crocpup and the cute humans, I could not get enough of this movie.

Want to hear more about this movie, well let me help you out. Then let me help you out. The Croods are the first prehistoric family. They are often faced with dangers and uncertainties and they learn that they have to work together to keep their family safe. That is until one day when they come across a paradise created by another family, The Bettermans. Both families are different and they have learn to work together. They soon realize that there is more than one right way to do things- and sometimes their way isn’t always the way to go. They have to be open to listening to others and learning from them as well.

This movie would be the perfect family outing if you are venturing out after you have your belly full from all the Thanksgiving yumminess.
