Summer Reading List: Wilted Wings

I will have to tell you can not judge a book by the first couple of pages, because if I had I would have missed out on this jewel. Wilted Wings by Shadow Stevens ( how cool is that name??) is a great read and the only reason why I was a little confused is because I did not read the first book in this series Broken Butterflies. But now I am going to because I am in love with this series.

Here is a brief summary of the book.

Power, greed, and envy fill Damon and Ilisha’s world. Their hope of settling into a life of peace and family remains out of grasp. Damon is kidnapped and forced to stand trial for the death of his father while a breed of hybrids designed to destroy all angels is set loose. With no choice but to leave her earthly mother and baby behind, Ilisha struggles in a world of high politics and family feuds. She must become an ultimate warrior to save her husband and both the worlds she loves.

First I will have to say that I love the setting behind this. To think that there angel kingdoms in heaven is awesome. My favorite part of the book has to be the imagery of butterflies being our guardian angels. I will not look the same way as a butterfly again. And who knew angels could have mind blowing sex as well. And the wait time between sessions is like non existent. Yep folks this book does have love making scenes but no more than your average romance book and they are not quite as graphic.

I will have to say I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend to anyone who likes that kind of fiction. Now I can not wait to read the first book and go back and reread this book.
