AFM Summer Reading List

Fantasy meets fiction in the second installment of MAUCS Series by Olivia Hardin. This book Tangled Up In Trouble by Olivia Hardin is awesome read. I love to read if you cannot tell by how many books that I review on here. But I will have to say never have I seen fantasy and reality combined so effortlessly that fantasy seems to be normal in everyday life. Here is a brief summary of the book.

Lynlee Lincoln isn’t just a witch, she’s also a Neutralizer. Her job is a juggling act to keep magical and undead clients out of trouble. But getting back together with her old flame throws one more ball into the mix and romance with a guy who has two kids can get complicated. When her old mentor asks her to investigate the goings-on of a dark witch, things turn messy. The witch is stalking supernatural creatures to collect ingredients for a potion that Lynlee can’t seem to figure out. To keep those closest to her from becoming the next victims, she may have to confront the demons within herself.

This book was awesome. I have to admit that I have  not read the first book, but I am going to now since it is free on Amazon. So expect a review on this soon.

Now for my review of this book, I absolutely love the character of Lynlee. She so effortless moved back and forth between human reality and the realm of mystical creatures. I mean her best friend is a werevamp. That is the cross of a werewolf and a vampire. I will have to admit that the first chapter did not grab my attention but as with everything else I learned that sometimes first impressions can be off and I was right. I grew to love the character of Lynlee. This book has a little bit of everything, romance , family relationships, fantasy, magic, mystical creatures, mystery and suspense. So if you like any of those kinds of books this is a must read for the summer. It is also a quick read as well one that I would take to read on the beach while listening to the waves crashing against the sand.
