Rise of The Guardians Review

Looking for a different kind of holiday movie than Rise of the Guardians may just be what the doctor ordered.  Here is a brief description of the movie.

RISE OF THE GUARDIANS is an epic and magical adventure that tells the story of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman, and Jack Frost – legendary characters with previously unknown extraordinary abilities. When an evil spirit known as Pitch lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children everywhere.

I loved this movie. My family and I were fortunate enough to attend a pre screening at a movie theater near us. We missed the first 20 minutes of the movie because the projector was messed up and we were moved to another theater which was showing the movie as well. The girls loved the movie. There is something for everyone in this movie. I loved the guardians. I will never look at these guardians again. I never imagined Santa as a Russian enforcer type with his naughty and nice list tattooed on his arms or the Easter Bunny being a buff bunny with an Australian accent.

I loved how it did not retell the same old Christmas story but brought a new and fresh look to holiday movies. Gracie and I loved this movie so much that a week later we went with friends to view it again. This movie is a definite buy for us when it comes out on DVD.

If you are looking for a holiday movie that will appeal to all ages than this is the movie for you.

Disclosure: My family and I received an invitation to attend a prescreening of this movie. No other monetary compensation was given. All opinions are 100% mine.
