#Polly Pockets Pet Shop Sparks Creativity

Polly Pockets have changed a lot in the past few years. I remember when my older daughter, who is now 17, would ask to play with them and was so excited when her birthday came around and someone would give her a set of Polly Pockets as a present. With Polly Pockets little children can be whoever they want to be and their imagination starts to grow and create new and imaginative things. My older two daughters have passed down their love of Polly Pockets to Gracie, my 10-year-old. And with the new line of play set assortments, Gracie is in love. We received a Polly Pocket Pet Shop Assortment in a delivery the other day, Gracie could not wait to tear into the package and play with it. For a future vet and animal lover, this was right up her alley.

She loved this and could not wait to play for her friends to get here to play with it.

Here they are setting this set to play with the other set, you can read about that set here. I love the fact that the assortments can be used to make a big village and that they are just small enough that you can take them with you on trips. Gracie has started to carry the little Polly Pockets people and animals around when we go on trips. She wants to make a carrying case just for all her little animals. Look for a post on that soon. See it does spark creativity. Here are some more pictures of the awesome time the girls had playing with the Polly Pocket Pet Shop Play Set.

I love the look on Payton’s face in this one.

Here they are checking out the pieces.

What I as a mom loved about this assortment besides the fact that the girls were able interact with each other through play and that when they were tired of playing with the pockets ( which did not happen) they had a DVD to watch starring the Polly Pockets that came with our shipment. They loved every bit of that DVD, in fact after they finished watching it they then went back to the play sets and starting acting out parts of the DVD. I also love how the suction cup bottoms of the Polly Pockets allowed them to put their pockets in some unusual places. The pieces were bigger so the pockets are more detailed. But we still had to watch Allie, our little Shih Tzu, because she wanted to play with them as well and they would have to chase her down to get a piece from her. She really loved the dogs LOL.

  1. Tammy-how you brought me back to that love/hate Polly Pocket days.. my daughter now in college used to love her Polly Pockets.. and I, like you loved how she loved them but there is nothing like one of those little purses stubbing into your toe when you least expect it!!! One of her birthdays she got quite a few of them and when she wasnt looking I socked it away. . hoping to save it for a rainy day but lo and behold she found it . . funny how little girls can sniff those things out!
