With Cinco de Mayo just around the corner, I decided that I wanted to focus on things that have a Hispanic twist to it. Today I am sharing with you this Orange Mango Sugar Scrub recipe. The ingredients are yummy almost too yummy I was tempted to eat it when I was making it. Don’t worry I didn’t but it did make my skin feel fantastic after I used it. I will say that Mangos are fruit that is eaten quite a lot in Mexico.
Orange Mango Sugar Scrub
Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 12 oz.
Ingredients
•½ cup Freeze Dried Mangos
• 1½ cup Brown Sugar
• 1 cup Organic Virgin Coconut Oil (room temperature)
• 1 tbsp. Orange Extract
• 4 tbsp. Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
Instructions
1.Using a blender (I recommend NutriBullet), blend freeze-dried mangos for at
least 10 seconds or until crushed.
2.Combine crushed mango and brown sugar in a medium mixing bowl.
3.Add room temperature coconut oil to the mixture. Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
4.Add orange extract and fresh orange juice to sugar mixture. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
5. Store in a mason jar with tightly sealed lid.
Tip #1: use organic ingredients.
Tip #2: works as an exfoliator and moisturizer.
