My Holiday To Do List

AFM holiday list

With the hustle and bustle of the holidays, sometimes we forget to stop and be thankful for all we have in our life and share it with others. I know I am very guilty of that so I made myself a to do list for the holidays.

  1. I am going to count my blessings. Even though my girls know how to work my last nerve, I am very thankful that I get to be the mom to these three beautiful young ladies. Also my husband may not be the most romantic man but he is my husband and I am thankful for all he does for me. And our dogs might aggravate me sometimes but I still think they are the best dogs in the neighborhood. They listen when they are called and do not bark at neighbors.  Plus they are cute and cuddly as well.
  2. Practice kindness. I try to do this everyday not just around the holidays but sometimes I fail. But remember any act no matter how small will not only make you feel good about yourself but will others to feel good as well.
  3. Let go of what I can not control. I have a tough time with this one. It seems that I want to control everything. I have learned that sometimes going with the flow is not a bad thing.
  4. Don’t overdo it. This one is a work in progress for me. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed with doing things whether it is for school, work, blogging, family or friends that I feel like I am about to blow. I learned that I have to learn to say NO!!!
  5. Listen to your heart. IT will never lead you do a path that is wrong for you. I have learned this the hard way.
  6. Be productive yet calm. I find that when I get overwhelmed that is when my anger starts coming out but if I feel like I can see progress that I am much better. I have also learned that breaking things down in little tasks help as well.
  7. Don’t overspend. That is one rule that I have learned hard way.
  8. Remember what is important and focus on that.
  9. Don’t forget to have fun. Sometimes I get so caught up in making sure everything is perfect I tend to forget to have fun which stresses me out even more.
  10. Taking a big breath. This allows me to sit back and look at the situation from another perspective.

So this is my to do list what is yours?
