Make Your Own Lavender Bath Salts

After a long hard day, there is nothing I love more than a soak in a hot bath. There is something so relaxing about soaking your worries away. But have you noticed the price of bath products lately? They are totally outrageous. So I decided one day to make my own. I made a lavender bath salts version because lavender is Gracie’s favorite scent, but you could make any version you would like. I am thinking of making a eucalyptus version for when cold and flu season hits. So keep reading to find out how to make your own lavender bath salts.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup Epson salt
  • 1/2 cup coarse sea salt
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 7-8 drops of lavender essential oil
  • Purple food coloring (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Make Your Own Lavender Bath Salts

  • Place all ingredients in a small mixing bowl and mix until well blended. If you do not use food coloring, the bath salts will be white in color.

HOW TO USE

1.  Pour 1/4 cup into warm bath water. ENJOY the calming scents of lavender and vanilla!
2.   Relax in the bath for 30 minutes.
3.   Pat dry and apply regular moisturizer to the skin.

Storage

Make Your Own Lavender Bath Salts

Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months. I normally use mason jars.

If you are low on money this Christmas these bath salts would make a lovely gift, pair them with a loofah and you will have one divine-smelling present.
