Wash your hands. How many times have we heard those simple instructions in the last few months? I mean we really shouldn’t have to be told to do it and it still amazes me how some people fight this common practice. I can remember my mom and dad asking if we washed our hands after using the bathroom. I will admit that I looked at them like they had two heads because duh of course who doesn’t? It wasn’t until I got older that I realized that some people are just nasty. Yep, I said it, there are some people in this world that were either not taught proper hygiene or were taught and they are just too lazy to even attempt to be clean. So I thought I would take this time during a global pandemic to share with you how to wash your hands. And what is more appropriate to use on a post about how to wash your hands than a soap that is called How to Wash Hand Soap

Folks. I am not joking, that is actually the name of the soap, it is so simple but what a genius name. I will admit that I had one of those why didn’t I think about the name moments- I could have made millions well maybe not millions but it would have been a nice chunk of change. So getting back to the topic at hand ( see what I did there 🙂 ) keep reading for the instructions on how to wash your hands.

First, you will need some simple items like water, soap, and a towel. Sounds simple enough right? Do you have all three of these things? You do let’s begin. And don’t forget to sing your ABC’s twice while doing the following steps

  • Wet your hands with the water. It is okay if you aren’t near a sink ( although that is best because of hot water- a bottle of water will do in a pinch if that is all you have.)

  • Apply your soap- you can use bar or liquid soap. I prefer soaps that leave a fresh scent on my hands.
  • Rub your palms together for 5 secs

  • Lather the backs of your hands
  • Get in between your fingers.
  • Rub the back of your fingers

  • Clean your thumbs
  • Wash fingernails and fingertips- if you have a scrub brush that will help.
  • Rinse with water
  • Dry with a paper towel ( if you are out in public) but if you are the only one using the towel at home then that will work too.
  • Use the towel to turn off the water from the sink

Guess what steps you do know? Don’t touch anything because if you washed your hands right they should be clean and ready for your next adventure.

Do you know what else I love about How to Wash Hand Soap is that instructions like the ones given below are printed on the label of each bottle of their soap? They are also free of sulfates, added dyes, Parabens, and animal by-products. You have to love things that are organic.

So tell me how do you wash your hands? Do you have a favorite hand washing routine?
