Guest Craft: Canning Jar Rings Pumpkins

Last week I posted a picture on my facebook page that Down Home Magazine  had posted on their facebook page of a pumpkin made from canning jar lids. Cindi, the owner of Down Home agreed to let me share this cute design with you. Check out how she made this cute pumpkin.

Here is what you need:

24 canning jar rings {lids}
yarn or twine
a small piece of burlap
glue gun and glue stick
Cinnamon
 Cinnamon Sticks

Directions:

String the rings through the twine and tie it tight to form the circle. Trim the excess string off. cut your leaf shapes from the burlap. Hot glue the cinnamon sticks together and then hot glue the cinnamon sticks {now your stem} to the inner part of the canning jar rings. glue your leaves to the cinnamon sticks and your done! JUST THAT EASY.

It’s amazing what you can make for yourself with the cute stuff you find on Pinterest.
This is a cool craft right check out Down Home Magazine on Facebook for more unique ideas including recipes and crafts.

  1. Thanks for sharing this fun project….it was so easy to make. Right now it is at our County Fair – I’m hoping it wins a ribbon. I’ll have to let you know! Can’t wait to get it back for my dining table.
