Gift Guide: Heart of Christmas DVD Review

The Heart of Christmas is a refreshing story that is for the whole family. Based on a true story that gained national attention, the film tells the story of Austin and Julie Locke, who are devastated to learn that their young son Dax has been diagnosed with cancer. With courage, determination and faith they decide to give the boy one last Christmas – even if it has to be in October! When the community sees their decorations and learns the truth of what’s going on in their home, a truly moving outpouring of care and support occurs that people really need to see to believe. It’s a great relief to know that this kind of thing really occurs in our society today, despite all our problems.

This movie was an incredible movie. But I do have to warn you have a box of Kleenex handy when you are watching this. I watched it with Gracie one day when she was home sick from school. We cuddled in my bed and watched on my computer and before the end of the movie we were both boo hooing. Allie looked at us like we were crazy. But it has made me appreciate what time I do spend with my children. It just seems like yesterday they were babies now they have turned into mature young women. I am like when did this happen.

This movie shows how community can pull together to support each other in their time of need. I personally loved this movie even if it was a tear jerker. We all need a good cry every now and then for our health. So if you are looking for a great gift for this holiday season consider this movie. Check out their Website.

If you are not sure about buying it before you see the movie. It premieres on Dec 4 on GMC.

I received tickets to a prescreening for the sole purpose of this review. No other monetary compensation was given. All opinions are 100% mine.
