Doggie Valentine Rawhide Treats
Hey Folks,
Allie here. Do you know that the day of love is coming soon? Yep Valentine’s Day is coming around the corner. Have you given any thought to what you will be giving your furbabies for Valentine’s Day? You can give them something from the store (look for another post about that soon) or you can make them something. I know that my mommy made Tutu and I these great chew toys one Christmas, but I am hoping that she will make these yummy treats again.
If you know me, I am all about the treats. As a matter of fact, I will do just about anything for a treat. And I know you doggie furbabies will do the same for these treats.
INGREDIENTS
- 6-8 thin rawhide stick dog treats
- 1/3 cup natural peanut butter
- 8 slices cooked bacon – crumbled
DIRECTIONS
1. Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper. Set aside.
2. Spread peanut butter on 3/4 of each dog stick treat. Set on baking sheet and freeze for 5 minutes. (This makes it easier to apply the bacon).
3. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon onto a plate and roll each stick in it to cover the peanut butter. Freeze for 10 minutes to help the bacon stick to the peanut butter.
4. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to one week.

This looks like a yummy treat for our doggies. Our vet told us that rawhide isn’t good for our dogs tummy, though, but maybe I’ll try it on a piece of dog jerky – or something like that! It’s great joining with you for the #HomeMattersParty.
My dog will love these! Thanks for the recipe.
